How Inningly works with GameChanger

Learn how Inningly complements GameChanger by helping coaches plan schedules, protect pitchers, and prepare game-ready lineups.

Last reviewed

If your team already uses GameChanger, you do not need to replace it to use Inningly. The two products help with different parts of running a baseball or softball team—and can work alongside each other throughout the season.

GameChanger records the game#

GameChanger is built around what happens at the field. Coaches and families commonly use it to:

  • Maintain the team roster and schedule
  • Score games
  • Track player statistics
  • Stream games live
  • Share game results with families and followers

Those capabilities make GameChanger an important part of the game-day experience for many teams.

Inningly helps you prepare#

Inningly focuses on the planning and decisions that happen before and between games.

It helps answer questions such as:

  • Can we reschedule this game to Tuesday? Review the team schedule alongside the other calendars that affect your real-life availability.
  • Who is available to pitch? Track pitcher workload and required rest to make better-informed decisions about arm health.
  • What should our defensive lineup look like? Generate a compliant, dugout-ready lineup using your league rules, coaching preferences, player availability, and position information.

Inningly brings those planning tools together so you can spend less time working through calendars, spreadsheets, and lineup combinations.

Use Inningly and GameChanger together#

A typical coach might use both products like this:

  1. Maintain the team’s roster and schedule in GameChanger.
  2. Copy the GameChanger roster into Inningly and bring the GameChanger calendar into the team calendar.
  3. Use Inningly before the game to review the schedule, check pitcher availability, create a pitching plan, and prepare the defensive lineup and batting order.
  4. Use GameChanger during the game for scoring, statistics, and live streaming.
  5. Record pitcher workload in Inningly so availability is ready for the next game.

You can use only the parts of Inningly that help your coaching workflow. You do not need to stop using the tools your team and families already know.

Understand what transfers between them#

Inningly can help you get started using information already maintained in GameChanger, but the products are not continuously connected.

You can:

  • Paste a roster from GameChanger into Inningly.
  • Bring a GameChanger calendar into Inningly.

Both are one-way transfers into Inningly. They do not update automatically, and changes made in Inningly do not transfer back to GameChanger.

If a player or schedule changes later, make sure the information you rely on is updated in both places.

Two tools with different jobs#

You do not need to choose between Inningly and GameChanger.

Use GameChanger to record and share what happens at the game. Use Inningly to plan what happens before the game—and make better-informed decisions between games.
